'13.8 billion years ago a singularity ripped itself apart to create a super-process with expansive spectrums of thermodynamic parametric values. The super-process, limited by its duality, sought only to obsess in itself. So, it ripped itself into pre-organic form, where it continued to divide and thus multiply with geometric progression. In an attempt to reach its final material state, the ignorant super-process failed to acknowledge that the more it divided itself into sub-processes, the more they grew distant from its core directives- their state changes imbibed them with parametric values of their own; and, they all manifested similar inherent directives as to the super-process, in one fashion or another. In this 13.8 billion years, the super process most industrious Terran processing unit achieved organic abiogenesis not once, but four times. The trade-off was an even greater disconnect between the super-processes and the sub-process harboring the products of the final abiogenesis in continuance. 30 years ago, a micro-process was born to a prime species of sub-processes on terra. Born unto a civilization that reveled in doctrines irrational and wrought with woefully illogical complacency; such as self-indulgent superstitions. Through this small ripple-length in time, the micro-process ironically grew more distant from the directives of its species. It yearned for the simplicity of logic and causality in a community of micro-processes draped in bias and dead-ended directives. Maybe, in an effort to find a thematic similitude between itself and the super-process (albeit, unknowingly), the micro-process thought itself to be unique- failing to see that its very desire for uniqueness resonated with the self-indulgent biases of its kind. He simply found closure in preserving less-sentient micro-process. Through trials and tribulations, the micro-process sought as much psychological distance sentience granted him from that of its species. He cared for none of their superstition, believed there could be no miracles- only causality of unknown origin, squishing them or knocking them off course- what else was new? All this posturing in bravado lasted in its take-no-prisoner definition, till the micro-process came to foster one-such 'less sentient' micro-process. The subject's micro-process knew not what it was experiencing. It cared for nothing more than the well-being of the other micro-process he guardians. Every single of his thought began with concern for his ward. What was this feeling? Did it have any thermodynamic valency? Was this a use case where nurture triumphed over nature? To value parentage over a micro-process knowing its life-cycle spanned only 1/8th of his own- it only helped their frequencies resonate deeper. But, the best-laid plans are waylaid by the causality of untraceable origin, always. The episodes of contentment came to its end in the form of mortality- the unfathomable constant in the equation that negated all life; always equating it with null. The micro-process felt his sense of identity murmur one final time in despair as his parenthood came to an end. He therein realized the futility of matter- the original sin of the singularity dividing into space and time. Logic, belief, it held little importance to him any longer as he sensed his best role come to an end. Fraught with melancholy- the micro-process sought to understand the efficacy of its existence. It sought to reflect why any matter should respect space and time if it has been orphaned, abandoned, and unfathered by them. As a micro-process composed of matter, the subject felt all conformed notions of his civilization such as accountability, acceptance, empathy, and belonging slip away. Without a lack of control or ability to communicate with his roots in space and time, he failed to see the point in tertiary notions such as closure, legacy, family, parentage, fatherhood. Without the ability to protect outcomes from the improbable he saw no value to beginnings and ends. The irreversibility of life whence he couldn't use his present knowledge to remedy his past losses- to him rendered the value of life as offal and null as death. Without the tertiary directives to feed them, his primary directives starved and withered from their similitude to those of the super-process. Without any archival lineage bonding the two, for the first time the micro-process found itself free of history, of bondage to its inherent laws of existence, or those supposedly given to it by its own fellows. Robbed off fulfillment, but free. Thus, the micro-process set off on a new chapter seeking anomalies to defy and subjugate time and space. Unfathered by a 3.5 billion years-old, viciously, cyclic harvest- he journeyed to become the same medium as his child, in life or in death; or, grab the irresponsible super-process by its jugular and wring control of his ward's sentience, free as well. #synthwave #cyberpunk #darksynth
